This is the Haunted poster, or one of its incarnations, used here as a postcard/invitation to our first screening, which was held at the Bloor Cinema in Toronto, one of my favorite rep theatres in Toronto ... maybe anywhere in the world ... as you can see I'm practically swimming in blood. This is a still shot from the infamous Bleed video which caused the film to be banned in at least three countries. The screening was great, the theatre was packed to the gills, balcony included. During the screening, I sat in the back with my good friend Carl, and we counted the losers who bailed out during the brutal scenes. It was right when you see the knife for the first time, in the video. I'm using this reservoir knife, which has tubing that runs through my sleeves and as I drag it accross my skin, Julian's pumping blood through the tubing and it looks like I'm cutting myself. Hey girls: IT'S JUST A MOVIE!! Anyway, the first time the knife makes its appearance, this chick about five rows in front of me starts to squirm and I say to Carl: "She's going to be the first one out the door!" and sure enough, one knife cut 'cross my face and she's gone. But she's only the first: another one, then another one start literally running out of the theatre. I clocked out thirteen on my side, and another of my minions counted twelve up the other aisle. The balcony wasn't accounted for, but they were mostly my friends up there and not concerned about the blood whatsoever.
